What To Know & Bring

Pre-Vacation Jitters?

To reduce your anxiety about leaving your precious pup with us, please make sure that:

  • You have created a client account in our client portal and filled out all online forms
  • Your dog has already attended his/her initial daycare visit
  • Your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date & they are on a flea and tick preventative
  • Your dog has packed his luggage
  • Your dog’s food has been pre-bagged for each meal, in sealable containers (Ziploc bags or plastic Tupperware style) and labeled. This will ensure that your pup will have enough food for his stay
  • Medications have been clearly labeled with your dog’s name, name of the medication and dosage instructions
  • Your dog is healthy. Please do not bring in a sick pet. This compromises the health of our other guests
  • You have listed any health concerns or issues you would specifically like us to monitor (ex, issues with seasonal allergies, ear infections, hot spots)
  •  You have made sure to update your online profile with current contact numbers for you on your trip, plus local emergency contacts in case you cannot be reached.

Food & Treats

For clients wishing to use our food, we have several different varieties of grain-free house food. We also feed grain-free dogs treats. It is not necessary to bring bowls and feeding dishes. Guests are provided with clean dishes for each meal.

Boarding in a new place can be exciting and, sometimes, a little stressful. A change in diet can contribute to the stress on your dog's body, possibly resulting in diarrhea or vomiting. * We strongly suggest bringing your dog's regular food and treats to help prevent this.

* Please note, we do not allow rawhides.

All food, treats and medications from home should be packed in sealable containers (Ziploc bags or plastic Tupperware style), per feeding and clearly marked with the dog's name. Please do not send anything in glass containers. Any medications must be in a container and clearly marked with the name of the medication, dosage requirements and the pet's name. There will be no additional cost for owner provided pre-portioned and individually packed kibble meals (in Ziploc baggies). There will be a small per meal bagging fee for owner provided bulk kibble.

We have a large refrigerator for any perishable foods and/or medications you may send, as well as a microwave for anything needing to be heated.

Personal Belongings

All of our guests are provided with clean, luxurious fleece bedding. These "super mats" are high pile, offering an almost stuffed feel. Unlike stuffed beds, however, this bedding provides consistent cushioning and safety for chewers. Please let us know if your dog is known to chew, shred or otherwise destroy bedding. Such behavior can be harmful to your dog's health if he ingests fabric or stuffing from bedding. We have a variety of options, from roomy human beds to elevated cots to extra-large crates, for the pups that are used to such accommodations. We are sure to have something that suits your dog's particular style or special needs.

Should you bring your own bedding, we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged belongings.

Toys

Toys from home are not necessary. Our guests are kept very busy all day so that by bedtime, they are ready to rest. We have a large variety of balls, Kongs, and chew toys to keep your dog busy. You may send a toy or chew toy for your dog to sleep with during naptime and overnight. Please label or identify items clearly.

ID Tags

All dogs should have an identification tag with their name and phone number.

The UltiMutt Inn reserves the right to immediately change your dog's type of boarding/daycare if we believe it is necessary to protect the health and well-being of your dog, other dogs, or a staff member.
